Mitch Benn

Mitch Benn's background as a Half-Scottish Scouser gives him a distinctive slant
on life, and his unique combination of musical comedy, satire, surrealism and
clowning quickly made his name on the emerging Scottish comedy scene.
Since he moved to London in September 1996 Mitch's name has become a buzzword
in the comedy world. He is a natural crowd-pleaser and his barnstorming delivery
has made him one of the most sought-after acts on the university comedy circuit.
Recently at the Edinburgh Fringe he presented a brand-new solo show at the Gilded
Balloon, and featured in the 'Carlton Comedy Warehouse' at the Assembly Rooms.
Mitch won the Best New Comic award at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival, and
has returned every year since. This year he performed an extended set which
was greeted with a standing ovation by a crowd of over 1500 people.
