As is usual this time of year, the Fat Cat Comedy Club is taking an official summer break. We’ll miss the July and August shows, so you can BBQ in peace without fear of missing East Anglia’s top comedy night. We’ll be back with a stonking good show on 11th September!
FLAMING JUNE AT THE FAT CAT
Sunday 12th June
With a wickedly dry sense of humour, Andy’s darker material is sweetened by his innocent and impish demeanour which never fails to leave audiences in the palm of his hand. With impeccable timing, the inventive and quirky songs are peppered with inspired patter – the material is as strong as the songs and delivered in an inimitable modest and self-deprecating style.
“Dark humour with faultless timing” – The Stage
This colourful enigmatic nomad was born in Ireland. He then moved to, and throughout the north of England where he was last seen fronting a pub rock band by night, and working as a pebble dasher by day in Grimsby. He now find himself living in London and working the comedy circuit. Confused? Well not as much as he is.
”Vein-popping intensity, clearly born to entertain” – The Independent
Describing himself as having the body of Peter Crouch and the face of Postman Pat, but nowadays looking more like a stretched Crystal Tips, Tom Wrigglesworth likes to experiment. At his most experimental, Tom wrote a letter to Richard Branson to complain about a Virgin Trains manager who took his job far too seriously and ultimately got Tom arrested. The was a happy ending though as Tom was given a Good Samaritan award!
“The ultimate crowd pleaser” – The Guardian
